my miniscule opinion about what is our present band now...FORGIVE ME IF I ACTUALLY INSULTED ANY OF U ALL OUT THERE.IM SO SORRY...just my opinions in which we are lousy at and how we can improve.
PRESENT BAND
Clarinet-Bad fingering techniques,Not enough air,playing as an individual more than as a section and with the whole band.Lacking the confidence in where entry is supposed to occur and following the tempos of the music.
Flute-Lack the air in which intonation can reach a perfect point(i think?),and fear of losing techniques at the solo parts(forgive me but i think much of the fault may fall into instruments=/)Everything is still quite organised as i noticed the section does much sectionals together as a section and can play though parts as a whole.
Oboe-I have nothing to say here as the sec 2 here is the ownage factor...but he needs new instrument too.
Saxaphone-Not enough air to carry out the mellow voice of many passages.Each individual have many different tones,namely back to the instruments so they are forced to adapt to a lower shade of tone that mr tan dislikes.Pushing may be another factor here?.
Trumpet-Main prob here is being afraid to take the 1st place among the band.Always afraid to make a solo or only their section blowing wrong,passages are usually soft without the driving energy that mr tan yearns.Air is another factor here as each member is afraid to exert and take over the place as the section that can stand out the most.
French Horn,Euphonium,Trombone-The reason why i grouped this 3 section together is because the all share the common objective.Each section is supposed to be so strong that they can destroy windows and buildings with plain sound alone.I know im exaggerating,but this is how we can convey the meaning mr tan wants.Fingering and uncertainty is another problem of euphonium.Air is also the main factor among this 3 sections.
Tuba-Steady and strong tempo is an essential for this section.The tuba is supposed to be the strongest among brasses,holding the most rooted position.This section is sometimes uncertain on where they are supposed to stand.Air may be a factor.
OVERALL-Brasses are supposed to be strong enough to make the floor vibrate(=))while the woodwinds are supposed to contradict the strong power with harmonious and moving passages.The contradiction will then break into a perfect harmony,which mr tan will let it wash over him.Another thing about our band is that hesistation always causes u to kill our own endings.Did anyone noticed that our KAZE-NO-MAI ending was horrible?lol.
my opinion of wads hindering the band,those who have suggestions can u guys tag?xD
And facing this problems together,we should always strive as a band together and improve.together we shall overcome this problems and be united as one to continue our conquest down this few years,molding the band to be yet united and happy and a strong band that can appreciate good music here and there

Band camp was...a joke.
3rd december started off with mainly drills and stuff,combines went haywire as mr tan was fuming away after every section tried their best but couldnt do wad mr tan had wanted them to do. Later we had drills while SJAB were having drills so it was pratically self humiliation in front of the pros.i looked at slimes face as he was trying to suppress a laughter LOL.After the self humiliation it was back to combine and it was still kinda disastrous.Then finally,the whole band had some games in their groups(i guessed they wanted to avoid the wrath of the god?)as we started playing through.The 1st team was a joke,everyone either clumped together or didnt defend much against us.but the 2nd team proved mightier and owned us back.After that,seeing as i dont know where clarkson went and i walked off with melvin but he said he was going to AYE with boonchang so i decided to go with joji jerrald and kiat tong.We went macs and i bought a mcflurry while the others bought uber large drinks and shaker fries.We then talked about our school stuff and about band.Then when we were going home,WTF I FOUND OUT JOJI AND JERRALD ONLY LIVES A FEW BLOCK AWAY FROM ME.1 whole year and we didnt even meet each other?lol then we continued talking about band camp and stuff as we sat the bus and walked together.i gave joji my no. and i went home to pack my stuff.
4th December-I went to school early as i always had a penchant of being late no matter how punctual i went out.So i reached the school at 7 to see the canteen empty except for a few band people.the usual gang felix and vincent were playing basketball already(if i was correct) while i went in to see them playing basketball.Soon after kiat tong turned up in home clothing LOL while i think the others were wearing band tee school pe shirt class tee.Briefing for dorms and i was supposed to open the dorm.DAM,THE DORM SMELT PURELY OF PAINT.sick smell,seriously it would make u faint.with harsh steps i pushed myself forward to open the inner windows and opened up the curtain before rushing out for fresh air lol.combine and thet inevitable happened.we had lunch when our seniors came back to visit us.i did a mimic kiat tong for the seniors to see loooool.we talked about wad conspired during the band camp and about the o lvl marks and stuff.After that,we had some ROD for the seniors.our section seriously screwed up as ours were a last minute work.MIMI OWNS LOL.JERRALD OWNS WOOT.i was laughing away with clarkson before the ROD performance as that was M18 LOL.i laughed thruout the whole mimi performance as u see the funny action between themLOL.i sensed that mr tan was kinda pissed as he lost precious time for combines before the concert.we had sectionals then it was dinner and the majors were kinda dulan as nobody listened to them.u cant blame em wad,the book schedule said otherwise so instructions were very blur.i rushed bathe then i went to the canteen to see shilei suxian suhui and jingwei eating their dinner.the ndp towel was hanging by my neck=.=i laughed at the way how jingwei talked LOL.he was a joke at the band bbq and now..we had nite practice where again it happened.after the whole practice when everyone just got perpertually stunned by mr tan he gave a speech to tell us his emotions during the band practices.i knew that those words had truth and lies in between,and i know that he actually wanted to say something else when he said he wanted to come back to guide us for saturday practice.Nevertheless,i managed to take in his words and the wisdom behind it.i was guailaning yuxuan with clarkson and boon chang as they knew who i was referring to =X.with yuxuan's stern looks and that spectacled eyes,he seriously can become a silencer LOL.after that,there was STILL wash up but i didnt feel like so we played soccer in dorm 6 while melvin apparently started the jerrald guailaning. i was laughing thru out although i pitied jerrald.
5th december was a joke.early morning mr a.tan went to make us do some morning exercise and run everywhereeee.den we needa form some column stuff.we had band practice and mr tan seemed to feel better lol.after that we had drills and my headache worked up.damn.it hurt kinda lot but the drills later nullified it as i was sweating.perc section was gling ian who took us,with (Permission to speak freely sir!)and some other jokes.then in the end ian pumped us 45 loooooool.shortly after,mdm elena came down to tell ian that they are NOT supposed to pump more than 20.the whole sec 2 and sec 3 were booing ian then benedict shouted Sir sucks,mdm!i saw elena like she was going to laugh but yet was trying to suppress it.then after that we went for sectionals when elena told us to rest if we cant blow as she doesnt want us to tire out before the concert.we then talked about stuff as jiayi told me if i knew how to play bridge LOL.there was combine but my headache had healed(heng)then we combined again.we had dinner where...1st part i ROFLMAO totally while the gang came together,namely clarkson me yuxuan yuxuan and ian.LOL IF MELVIN HEARD WAD WE SAID HE WOULD SERIOUSLY BE LAUGHING AWAY.but it was seriously damn horny.SUMMORE WE WERE SO NEAR AMELIA AND GANG LOL.another joke was yuxuan(DM) with the noodle in his mouth as he was trying to stop laughing was another joke LOL.after mass laughing i went over to joan jiayi and vera place to play bridge.we didnt even started playing when suddenly ian elena and yuxuan were talking over there.then the way yuxuan impersonate ian was totally ROFLMAO.win.i chionged another bathe again.
Last day6th dec-we went combined sectionals which were mainly stoning as i was conserving energy for concert.then the joke came.we were supposed to bathe eat and change into band u and 30 mins.i skipped bathing as there was seriously no time so i ate with melvin and boon chang and changed.then the concert just came.i felt that the songs were perpertually disaster except ghost fleet which was ok..i saw the dismay and disdain in mr tan's eyes as he glared at each section but forcibly turned it into a smile to try and calm us down.when i came back into the band room,my section seniors were emoing away lol.everything was so unclear then i just packed up my stuff and went home with my cuz.

been very bored this days,except for dota i seriously had been doing NOTHING.
shauns bbq
was fun,since the amount of FOOD and the way they were COOKED were much better than that of..well i shant say it.Afternoon i went to his house to only see CA there-.-.i went to show ca some vids on youtube namely hokkien ratatouile,cha yi dian and hokkien titanic lol.Shortly after Zen and gang arrived then we started playing daidi=.=. We spammed the daidi while shaun went down here and then to check the bbq fire lol. His mum and aunts rock,helping out in the bbq man.We started by eating the fried rice(WHICH WAS UBER) the sprite(helpful filling now and then)the bacon(BACON!!!!)salmon(yay)and other stuff.so niceeeeeeeeeeee.His dog was a little erpz lol,kinda i thought he was gonna bite me.i camped around with the kbox room and his bedroom(WATER BED OMGOSH) while the gals apparently went to mass bbq stuff,then after i heard my mum came back home i told her to photocopy the piano score for Secret while i ran back with arthur and took around 5 mins to go home and back.lollll and when i arrived back zen saw a plate of chicken wings bbqed by shirlene and joan and he hionged the wings.i was feeling quite full then,so i didnt feel like taking a bite.at ard 10+ everyone started leaving then i walked down with kevin joan and yilin lol.then they went off in their respectitive buses and i just slept away....
TUESDAY-CGSS CONCERT(MUSICAL EVENING)
we agreed to meet at clementi at 11( for i DONT KNOW WHAT but i just willingly went with them) the them is lynn carine jiayi huijie vera zoelyn and donna and so we MRTed to city hall when they started the window shopping spree and TOOK 1/2h to decide on JUST WHAT TO EAT.We then settled down on the pizza place(the baked rice is niceeeeeee) and after that,PERPERTUALLY 4H OF WINDOW SHOPPING.uh a few times vera huijie and jiayi got mass pangsehed and i was tagging along with them as i wanted to check out HMV for some new music thingys lol.BUT 4 H OF WINDOW SHOPPING ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz...............then we took another 1/2 h to decide where to eat dinner and then we just decided on some japanese fast food restaurant that its student meal had some ice cream donut stuff....i finished the damned donut but i couldnt finish the whole bowl of food which i only ate half as they then went off to the arcade ERPZ.ok la not all lynn and carine went on the window shopping spree while the others played the bishi bashi championship in which they perpertually spammed their hands up and down.I was like the direct opposite of all boys sia,go arcade i nv touch at all,COS I WAS SAVING MONEY FOR MY KRAITTT BUT THE YUFONG TMR DUWAN GO IT FAIRRRR.At last it was 6,for i dont know wad unforseen circumstances the whole group went blimey and started to uber chiong as if we knew there was some disaster approaching us.AND BLISTERING BARNACLES,we reached victoria concert hall at 6.30 ZZZZ.stoned around for 1/2 h then we entered the hall and chose some seats.I TELL U,THEIR STANDARD IS ONE OF A KIND.imba enthu supporters,add the high quality of playing they uphold in their concert(tho there were squeaks here and there,) and 3 CONDUCTORS WTF.the concerts has been going on for 4 DECADES.well im not trying to despise my own band or something,but OURS IS THE FIRST CONCERT.well we will get better by and by heh?wadever..i think their level of enthuness can be compared to our dance society(NO OFFENCE,JUST A STATEMENT)
why am i blogging when im supposed to do my homework.
